Candidate for Camp Hill School Board of Directors

My family and I have lived in the borough since June of 2020.  I am happily married with two wonderful children.  I met my wife when we were both living in Alaska in 2012 and she always spoke highly of the quality of life and safety for families in Camp Hill, Pa. We moved from Alaska to Colorado where we had our two children and soon after started planning our move here to be closer to family and enjoy what Camp Hill has to offer to a young family. 

Since living here, we have enjoyed our wonderful neighbors and felt at home in the community. Currently, we have one child in the school district in first grade and our youngest will be starting kindergarten this fall.  Our children's educational experience is important to us as a family, as it should be for all parents.  As a school board director candidate, I hope to enrich the experiences and quality of educational opportunities to children in the Camp Hill School District and help  promote the voices of the parents who wish the same. 

Professionally, I am a Construction Surveyor/Draftsman with a diverse resume ranging  from federal, heavy civil, mining, environmental, residential and commercial projects from coast to coast.  I take pride in my work and ability to collaborate in a team to solve complex problems from a commonsense approach.  From 2007-2011, I served in the United States Marine Corps with one 13-month deployment to southern Afghanistan in 2009-2010, as well as currently serving in the Army Reserves from 2012-present. 

My desire to serve as a school board director is purely to be of service to the parents and educators who rely on the role of the board. The school district in Camp Hill Borough is the centerpiece of the community and a  large reason as to why our community is a desirable place to raise a family.  Being considered for this position is as much of an honor as it is a fulfilling responsibility to the community and my own family.  I am a grateful citizen of this exceptional community.
